It takes a community to bring hope.
Last year, we witnessed an overwhelming response from the Burlington and Oakville communities to compassionately help our most vulnerable. From high school students, youth sports teams, community members, and small businesses, to our partners, and Burlington Centre who graciously donated space to help us host food drives — kindness and compassion prevailed in 2021.
Our final Food Drive of 2021 truly delivered hope to thousands of families in the Burlington community. One can at a time. The community responded. Over 12 days in December, compassionate young athletes, dignitaries and community members flooded our Burlington Centre headquarters with bags and bags of food donations for our seven beneficiaries: Burlington Food Drive, The Salvation Army, Food for Life, Compassion Society, Carpenter Hospice, Halton Women’s Place and ROCK.
Together, we accumulated 136,700+ pounds of non-perishable food donations.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Burlington! When you have a moment, grab a hot chocolate and enjoy this feature story on Your TV Halton: https://youtu.be/W6dBpOfXHnw
Wishing everyone a safe & healthy New Year!
